Pfft, god those look ineffective. This leads to an interesting dilemma here since those axes look heavy as hell, overly so, but I assume they're meant to be wielded by the upper epsilons of strong beings. With that in mind let's think for a moment that someone is strong enough to wield them properly despite their horrid make, then one could say, " See, hee needs them to be heavy because he strongth." okay, bnut consider if they can wield a large as heap of metal with ease, imagine them wielding a normal well made weapon.

Because Darksouls weaponry is realistic? Ha! On the contrary, they're all oversized, and used improperly, sure they're shaped correctly, but realistic I should think not. That being said, I do prefer the Estoc, Baldur, and Silver-knight sword most over a dagger, also, looking at those guys, not to brag but I'd dispatch them with ease. (confidence is high) I have seen an axe similar to those smithed, and used in real life, it was pretty cool to watch.
Estoc IS weaponry for pussies, Zanbato is were the real is, kill them with horse and everything!

You are complaining that a VIDEO GAME (a fantasy videogame at that) doesn't has realistic weapons, which is a waste of time in and of itself.
The zanbato was more of an overgrown machete used to disable cavalry, by well chopping the living hell out of the horse, hence the nickname horse slaying sword, unlike other absurdly long weapons, this one was used as a sword, and not as a make-believe spear, it also comes from China so is not really a katana.
Oh, I'm getting it mistaken with an odachi/nodachi. It was pretty much same concept. Also I enjoy realism, and practicallity in videogames, which is why Kngdom Come: Deliverence excites me. And perhaps my suspension of disbelief wouldn't be so low if... Idk, studying midieval European swords wasn't my pass time, which I do for art reasons.
The nodachi was mostly a ceremonial sword, not even a make believe spear, and that's just sad.

Started watching the first dragon ball series, not even done with the fkrst episode, and already I have seen Goku's peen, and Bulma's panties. I miss when anime was like this.
The penises of really young boys was not usually censored in anime, if at all, indeed showing little kids running around naked of all genders was kinda normal, because it was not considered vulgar or sexual, that's the reason why Kid Goku is not censored, the same goes for shows like Crayon Shin-chan and some Ghibli movies (there are probably still some modern productions that get away with it, because no emphasis is made, and no one decent or half decent is paying attention to that), as for panty flashing that is still a common form of fanservice that is mostly used in cheap romantic comedies nowadays.
With that said at some point times changed, and a bunch of degenerates started perverting the bodies of little kids, so indeed for today things like little Goku's dick would have been censored, but since early Dragon Ball is an old series, it remains testament of more innocent times, and chances are that back then people weren't more innocent, they were just ignorant of how rotten some humans can get, humanity didn't knew that japan is a den of pedophiles disguised under the umbrella of moe obsession, that religious figures worldwide are sex predators, and that our peers could just as likely be part of that bunch, and thus now we get censorship in some things, however underwear is still game in most shows that have no problem with whorifying themselves in order to gain views, hell some even need that in order to keep or gain ratings.
Hmm, I had known that older shows did it, still a shock. Is it me, or do older Anime people seem more like people, I guess would be the way to describe it? Now aesthetically, but the way they act.
It depends of the anime, but since older animes were the ones creating the tropes they also have the liberty to leave the tropes behind since they didn't exist, whereas modern ones have to deal with the expectations on how certain characters would behave, but in the end it all falls on the author, the director and the kind of series you watch.

Japanese, I assume since it's sub. There is dubbed but only for the first season so I figured best just watch it all in sub. Action scenes I've seen or neat, not as exciting as I would have thought though I'm pretty sure the first dragonball was meant to be a comedy more than anything.
The first Dragon Ball was meant to be a comedy adventure story inspired by Journey to the West.
Journey to the west, that had monkey king Sun Wukong, and some monk travellin on a journey, I wonder what direction it was, anyways thats about as much as I know, and I suppose I can see it. Goku is like a monkey.
