This is probably the best page so far next to the map and a couple of others, and is what shows that this is such an incredibly promising story, with a great world, dynamic, and an extent background to work with, and to speculate.

While i am at this when Rion shows her powers without previous explanation can be seen as the worst page so far along with the couple following pages, why? because like other similar stories it means that what was a surprise becomes a plot device that only the author was able to know it was going to happen, which is in part why series like bleach or other shonen stories start degrading themselves as they put more and more nonsense without a real base to hold themselves on, for example and this is very common, the main character uses an ultimate technique that was being developed in secret but no one ever saw any hints of such move or of the training for the move, as this is a story that is just starting we can overlook this happening because things are still being just introducing and the world is taking shape, so a lot can happen. But! since this is so common specially in the world of comics, i can't help but to make emphasis in this warning.

The guy was something else that part when Ichi is chasing him and he jumps out of the building, that part is priceless, and oh how can we forget the greatest dodge of all time? first time i ever see someone evading a blade just be opening their mouths, indeed that manga was great.

You should give Homunculus a look too, by the same author.

So that's why she got superpowers out of nowhere, ok fine, no background no real explanation, it just come in the package like beauty and the like, wathever.

However! superman got his superpowers just with a change of environment when he emigrated from Kiptron to Earth, he even had to regulate his force, heat vision and other powers that made him an entity superior to other men, and while is true that Goku has to train for practically his whole life to become the god-like entity that we known as Goku, he was already inherently more powerful than everyone else, thanks to his status as a Saiyan (and lets not even mention the moon here!), this is even more true for his sons who are even more gifted than his father, with the only things missing being training and experience.

So no, character like Goku or superman being born weak is a load of bs, Kelsey go home you are drunk.

Its a manga- which means you have to wait for the next couple pages, chapters etc etc for the backstory-

i've already been dropping hints that rion is special

just be patient- there is a reason Rion's arms are all bandaged up and she is wearing gloves and why she was an orphan from a foreign country nobody really knows about
