Also it has been revealed recently that the Biological clock can adjust itself, so to get ourselves enclosed into a solar cycle of night and day is just non consistent.

Man... you could have said it how it is, that was denial, to negate the existence of inconvenient things, and instead tell yourself that everything is well.

Finally we can say that the universe is a cycle, but that doesn't explains how it started, again we have a causal system to explain things, the big crunch theory tell us just part of it, but ultimately leads us to the same point, and this might be for ever and ever, not really in a cycle composed by waves, but more like in a spiral that desperately tries to avoid a paradox.
